COUT PRICE

Arsenal transfer boost with Barcelona ‘rushing to find Philippe Coutinho’ buyer and could land winger on cheap

BARCELONA are reportedly hoping to find a buyer for Arsenal target Philippe Coutinho before the end of the month.

Mikel Arteta's side could secure the 28-year-old's signature in a cut-price deal if they act quickly.

According to Sport, Barcelona want to have a deal in place for Coutinho before the end of June.

They are keen to get the midfielder's £250,000-per-week wages off the books as soon as possible.

Quique Setien's side are even willing to pay part of his salary so he can make the move to Arsenal.

Barcelona were said to be demanding a £10million loan fee for the former Liverpool ace.

To let him leave permanently, the Spanish giants would reportedly want £55m up front plus a £25m-rated player.

But if Arsenal are in a position to make their move this month, they could bag themselves a bargain.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have also been linked to the Brazilian star.

Coutinho has failed to live up to expectations since his £142million to the Nou Camp in January 2018.

He struggled to cement his spot in the first-team before he was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich.

The midfielder has proved his potential with nine goals and eight assists for the German side this term.
