ARSENAL goalkeeper Bernd Leno could reportedly be out of action for A YEAR with cruciate knee ligament damage.
The German landed awkwardly after an aerial challenge from Neal Maupay during the Gunners' 2-1 loss at Brighton on Saturday.

And according to , there are fears the 28-year-old "has damaged the cruciate ligament in his left knee".
This could mean 12 months on the sidelines with recovery and rehabilitation.
The injury was deemed too horrific for BT Sport to replay at the weekend.
Leno's knee appeared to give way from underneath him after bending backwards - usually a sign of a horror ligament-related injury.

The Arsenal ace let out a scream in agony as he crumpled to the turf, as medics rushed to treat him - leading to a five-minute delay in action.
As he was taken off on a stretcher, Leno shouted and pointed furiously at French forward Maupay - who went on to score Brighton's winner in injury-time.
Fellow goalkeepers, including Manchester United's David De Gea and international colleague Kevin Trapp, sent messages of support to Leno on social media.
And his Gunners replacement Martinez was also sad to see his team-mate hurt.

He told Arsenal.com: "In the goalkeepers' union, you don't want the other goalies to get injured because it can happen to anyone.
"We train every day together, we support each other, we're really close, we even have a WhatsApp group for just me, Bernd and Matt (Macey) - it is devastating to be honest.
"I wish him a speedy recovery and if he needs the rest of the season, me and Matt will try to do a good job in the Premier League and try to cover him as much possible."
