How David Beckham’s Inter Miami could line up next season with Cristiano Ronaldo joining Silva after revealing MLS plans
CRISTIANO RONALDO could be the star of the show for David Beckham's Inter Miami side next season.
The Juventus ace is the latest big name to be linked to the MLS side after Daniel Sturridge and David Silva.
Former Manchester United man Nani fuelled speculation as he revealed Ronaldo told him he will "probably" play in America during his career.
Speaking to ESPN's Taylor Twellman about the 35-year-old, he said: "A couple of years ago, he told me that he will probably end up in America.
"It's not 100 per cent but probably. There is a chance."
Beckham has already set his sights on Ronaldo and Ballon d'Or rival Lionel Messi joining his new team.
Earlier this year, rival MLS coach Adrian Heath told Daily Mirror: "I keep hearing there will be a blockbuster signing at some stage - and Ronaldo and Messi are the names I hear most.
"That would be incredible for football in the USA and if anyone has the global profile to make that dream a reality then it has to be David Beckham.
"It may not happen just yet, but I can see Ronaldo following in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard playing in the MLS."
Ronaldo is unlikely to make the move yet as he is under contract with Juventus until 2022.
