United landed Pogba in a club-record £89million move in 2016 after enjoying the best years of his career at the Old Lady.
The Norwegian will then use the cash raised to help fund moves for Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish.
But Pogba's staggering £290,000-a-week wage packet are proving a huge stumbling block for Juventus.
According to Tuttosport, the player will need to accept a "drastic" drop in his current salary in order to line up alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Co.
The coronavirus pandemic is having a huge financial impact on football with many top European clubs being forced to tighten the purse strings this summer.
Pogba has a little over a year left on his current contract, although it can be extended, Solskjaer and Co won't want to lose him on a free transfer.
