A number of aggressive measures were put in place to try and halt the spread of the virus as the country was put into lockdown.

Several Chinese Super League teams fled the nation to avoid catching coronavirus, including reigning champions Guangzhou Evergrande, who relocated to Dubai for a training camp.

Wuhan Zall, whose city has been at the centre of the epidemic, departed for Spain and have been forced to remain there for weeks due to China’s lockdown.

Now with things improving in recent weeks, Wild East News claims the football season will soon be resumed.
