Man Utd still hopeful of £50m transfer for 16-year-old Jude Bellingham despite Birmingham ace nearing Dortmund switch
MANCHESTER UNITED are still hopeful of signing Jude Bellingham this summer, according to reports.
The Birmingham City midfielder is only 16 but is already attracting interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
Borussia Dortmund are understood to be in pole position to land the teenager.
They are set to break their transfer record to bring him in for £30million.
Such a deal would represent Borussia's record transfer - which currently stands at the £27.5m spent on defender Mats Hummels last year.
But according to the , United want to make a swoop to sabotage the deal with the German side.

The Red Devils considered a January move for the £145-a-week teenager as they went up against Chelsea.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are among the other elite clubs tracking him.
German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten believe Dortmund will not have to pay a large fee and can instead sign the player for mere training compensation.
Bellingham has made an impressive 34 appearances since his debut in August and has shown off his versatility to feature across the midfield with four goals and three assists in 2019/20.
He has a scholarship contract at Birmingham until the end of next season.
England Under-17 international Bellingham, who is reportedly represented by his family, turns 17 in June and cannot officially put pen to paper on a professional contract until then.
