Inter 4 Milan 2: Lukaku caps incredible derby comeback as Conte’s ex-Prem all-stars cancel out Ibrahimovic heroics

ANTONIO CONTE took Inter to the top of Serie A despite the best efforts of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a dramatic Milan derby.

Swedish striker Ibrahamovic, 38, is back at Milan after seven-and-half years away and stunned Conte’s title hopefuls by setting up the first before making it 2-0 before half-time.

But Inter, looking for their first title in a decade, sealed a stunning recovery with defender Stefan de Vrij getting the 70th minute winner which means the Nerazzuri have moved above Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus on goal difference.

Inter’s Premier League All Stars featured ex-Manchester United players Ashley Young and Romelu Lukaku, as well as Victor Moses and Christian Eriksen, while Alexis Sanchez - on loan from Old Trafford - made his first Serie A start since September.

Milan took the lead just before half-time and it was a comical mistake from keeper Daniele Padelli.

Ibrahimovic, who also had three years at Inter, rose majestically to beat Diego Godin to a header and Padelli missed the ball to give Ante Rebic a tap-in.

It then got worse for Inter in first half injury time when an unmarked Ibrahimovic scored a header from a corner.

And incredibly, just over a minute later later, Alexis Sanchez made a good run and pulled the ball back for Matias Vecino to level.

Sanchez then delivered the corner for de Vrij to score with an angled header in the 70th minute, and the majority of the fans in the San Siro went crazy.

Immediately after the goal, Sanchez made way for former Spurs midfielder Christisn Eriksen who dropped to the bench after a poor performance at Udinese a week earlier.

Incredibly, Ibrahimovic hit the bar with an effort in the 90th minute but right now, there are five ex-Premier League players who could be in the medals here in Italy come May.

That quintet was completed by Victor Moses, who also got a run-out as a late replacement for right wing-back Antonio Candreva.

The Chelsea loanee teed up former colleague Lukaku to head home the injury-time sealer to send the Nerazzurri partying into the night.
