Odion Ighalo lands in Manchester after ‘crazy’ transfer and admits ‘it’s a dream come true’
ODION IGHALO hailed his 'crazy' move to Manchester United as a 'dream come true'.
The ex-Watford striker landed at Manchester Airport this morning after completing his shock deadline day switch from Shanghai Shenhua.
Ighalo is on loan for the rest of the season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tries to solve a striker crisis with Marcus Rashford sidelined with a double stress fracture of his back.
United fan Ighalo, 30, beamed at his whirlwind move: "It's been crazy. I'm obviously happy to be in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for me.
"It's a dream come true because since I was a kid I've followed and dreamt about Manchester United a lot.
"I'm grateful to God and my agent and to the coach that gave me this opportunity to be here.
"I am happy to be here to work hard with the team and finish the season very well."
Without Ighalo, United's front line drew their ninth Premier League blank of the season in Saturday's Old Trafford stalemate against Wolves.

Solskjaer's squad are due to head off to Spain during the forthcoming winter break.
But Nigerian forward Ighalo, who scored 39 goals in 99 games for Watford between 2014 and 2017, plans to rest for the next 24 hours after making the dash from the Far East.
He added: "Today is just to rest and chill because I travel very long from Shanghai to Manchester.
"Tomorrow we start to work and get the boots on."
