Chelsea and Man Utd transfer target Edinson Cavani ‘says goodbyes to PSG team-mates’ as Atletico move grows closer
EDINSON CAVANI has already said his goodbyes to his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates as he closes in on a move to Atletico Madrid, according to reports.
The Uruguayan's brother and agent has jetted to the Spanish capital to negotiate a final wage packet ahead of his high-profile switch.
Cavani, 32, has been angling for a way out of PSG this month with just six months left on his contract.
He even handed in a transfer request to force through the issue after being limited to just nine league appearances.
, Cavani has already distanced himself from the club, having not featured in their last four matches.
But a deal has not yet been completed with the two clubs struggling to come to an agreement over his transfer fee.
Atletico have seen a £12.7million bid rejected having been told to up their offer if they want to get a deal done before Friday's deadline.
Diego Simeone's side have struggled for goals this campaign having bagged just 22 in 21 league matches - with only five clubs having a worse record.

PSG are expecting Atletico to improve their offer and seal a deal ahead of Saturday's Madrid derby against neighbours Real.
The move will come as a blow to both Manchester United and Chelsea, who were both in the market for his signature.
They were stumbling over his huge wage demands, which are thought to top a whopping £360,000-a-week.
