MARCS, SET, NO

Marcus Rashford ruled out of Man Utd’s clash at Liverpool with Solskjaer confirming he will be out for WEEKS

MARCUS RASHFORD will miss Manchester United's trip to Liverpool through injury and will be out for the next few weeks, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed.

The England striker, 22, limped off with a back problem during the Red Devils' FA Cup third round replay win over Wolves on Wednesday.

And while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hopeful he would be available for today after the game, the England striker has been unable to recover in time, according to his boss.

Speaking ahead of the game, Solskjaer said: "I wouldn't expect to see him for the next few weeks."

Rashford has started every one of United's games this season but the back problem he has been carrying for "a little while" will now keep him out beyond this week.

He has undergone tests on the issue and Solskjaer faced questions on the results today confirming the bad news.

United face Burnley in the league, the winner of Watford or Tranmere in the FA Cup, Man City in the Carabao Cup, before Prem games with Wolves and Chelsea in their next five outings.

And Solskjaer will want to limit his absence the best he can given United's reliance on the Three Lions star's goals this season.

The Englishman has bagged 14 goals which is nearly double that of his nearest competitor Anthony Martial who has only got eight.
