Hart has been approached by Minnesota to replace former Arsenal keeper Vito Mannone, according to

Reading loanee Mannone - the 2019 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year - is said to have rejected The Loons' offer which would have made him the highest-paid goalie in the US.

His loan spell has now run out and Minnesota desperately need a new keeper, with former Man City star Hart seemingly fitting the bill.

SunSport revealed David Beckham had offered his old Three Lions team-mate a career lifeline with a move to his new Inter Miami side.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: "Joe has told some of his team-mates Becks has been in touch and he’s hopeful a deal can be done.

"He wants to be a No 1 again and he’s frustrated that things haven’t worked out in England for him over the past few years.

"Miami would be great for him and would also be a high-profile club."

Reports earlier this month claimed Aston Villa were looking at Hart after losing Tom Heaton for the rest of the season.

Heaton joined the newly-promoted side in the summer in an £8million deal and had missed just one Premier League game before suffering a horror knee injury during the victory over the Clarets on New Year's Day.

The stopper suffered the ligament damage trying to stop Chris Wood netting a consolation at Turf Moor and, alongside record-signing Welsey Moraes who suffered a similar injury in the same game, will not feature again until the new campaign.

Sheffield United, Porto and Lille are among a number of other clubs reportedly interested in Hart.
