Barcelona considering re-signing Neymar from PSG as Lionel Messi transfer replacement once he decides to leave
BARCELONA are considering re-signing Neymar as the man to replace Lionel Messi when he leaves, it has been claimed.
The Catalans are aware Messi's time with them will not last forever and are said to believe Neymar is the only man who can shine in the Argentine's absence.
Despite trying out other options in the shape of Antoine Griezmann, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, Barcelona's big-wigs think only Neymar is good enough to fill the void Messi will leave, according to Spanish outlet .
Messi is also a big admirer of Neymar's and even told him he would quit Barca at the end of next season to make way for him if he signed.
According to France Football, Messi sent a WhatsApp to his former teammate that read: "Only together can we win the Champions League.
"I want you to come back.
"In two years, I'm leaving, and you'll be alone, you'll take my place."
Barca are reportedly ready to exploit the 27-year-old's £154million exit clause to rescue him from his torrid time in France.
But despite the existence of an exit clause in Neymar's contract, his transfer value has been the topic of discussion this month after it dropped for the first time in his career.
