Arteta ‘wants Volland as first Arsenal transfer’ in January but Leverkusen striker has no goals in nine games
NEW Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is interested in making Bayer Leverkusen striker Kevin Volland his first signing, according to reports.
The Gunners have been scouting the forward, 27, who has bagged five goals this season.

And with just 18 months left on his current contract, Arsenal would be in a position to offer a lower price.
Leverkusen may well be reluctant to sell Volland in the January transfer window, given they are set to play Porto in the last 32 of the Europa League.
Arsenal are also interested in signing wantaway Napoli star Dries Mertens.
The Belgian, 32, hinted at a goodbye on Instagram to the Italian city after a dressing room rift.
