Bayern Munich stars demand the club sign Philippe Coutinho permanently after stunning hat-trick
BAYERN MUNICH stars have demanded the club sign Philippe Coutinho following the forward's stunning return to top form.
The Brazilian scored a scintillating hat-trick in the weekend's 6-1 win over Werder Bremen while also grabbing two assists.
It comes off the back of the 27-year-old's goal and match-winning performance in the 3-1 Champions League win over Tottenham.
Coutinho is currently spending the season on-loan at the Allianz Arena from Barcelona.
The former Liverpool man lost his way at the Nou Camp but is showing the form that earned him a £142million transfer almost two years ago.
And now Bayern team-mate David Alaba has called for the club to go all out and land him on a permanent deal.
Speaking after the game, he said: "If you watched the game today, we have to buy him, right?"
His thoughts were echoed by Robert Lewandowski who added: "It was outstanding how he did that today.
"We need this kind of player. I'm really happy that he showed what he is able to do."
Bayern forked out £7.78million to land him on loan and have the option to make it a permanent deal for £110m.
Coutinho has started nine league games this season, scoring six and assisting five.
