Lewandowski’s diet of beetroot juice, brownies and no lactose turned him into Europe’s hottest striker, reveals Wag Anna
ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has powered his incredible goalscoring form with beetroot juice and fresh fish, wife Anna has revealed.
With 27 goals in 20 games, the Bayern Munich forward is Europe's top marksman this season.
"We refrain from lactose and wheat flour. It's about quality food.
"Pancakes, brownies, vegetable spaghetti, porridge or millet. We also like to eat high-quality fish.
"Sometimes after training we drink beetroot juice with cinnamon or cayenne pepper.
"When we mix many foods at once, sometimes we aren't doing the right thing.
"We feel bloated, have to loosen our trousers. The mix is too much for our body."
The couple married in 2013 and are currently awaiting the birth of their second child after daughter Klara was born two years ago.
And Lewandowski will aim to return to scoring ways in the Bundesliga when facing Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday night.
