Inside Man Utd’s glitzy gala dinner with stunning Wags, Toploader playing for the stars and £266k raised for charity
MANCHESTER UNITED'S players donned their best clobber and headed out to the club's swanky charity do at Old Trafford with their Wags last night.
The glam gala dinner was laid on in aid of the club's charity partners and raised a whopping £266,000.
Rock band Toploader and musician JC Stewart serenaded the stars and their partners as United looked to raise money for Unicef and the Manchester United Foundation.
The funds raised will go towards helping some of the world’s most vulnerable children affected by disasters and those living in the most disadvantaged areas of Greater Manchester.
Fans were given the chance to rub shoulders with the United squad at the black-tie event, which was hosted by Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves.
Most of the Red Devils stars took the opportunity to take their Wags along but one notable absentee was Paul Pogba, who instead shared pictures of him playing basketball with his baby boy.
Michael Carrick and his wife Lisa were snapped with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his wife Silje.
And Anthony Martial was joined by the mother of his children Melanie.
Juan Mata arrived with partner Evelina Kamph while pals Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford were snapped together larking around upon arrival.
Speaking about the positive contribution that came from the event, Solskjaer said: “When you see smiles on the children’s faces and when you can give them experiences they wouldn’t normally have, that’s fantastic.
"The projects are fantastic too. Kids need education and I’ve seen both charities working in schools and providing opportunities.
"We know we’re in a fortunate position and we can make a difference."
