Everton next manager odds: David Moyes and Mikel Arteta the front-runners to replace under-fire Marco Silva
DAVID MOYES and Mikel Arteta are the front-runners to replace under-fire Marco Silva at Everton.
The Portuguese chief is almost certain to be sacked at the Toffees with the club languishing in 15th place in the Premier League.
Everton were beaten 2-0 at home to relegation battlers Norwich on Saturday, with Silva now hanging by a thread.
And it could be an incredible return to Goodison Park for Moyes - who spent 11 years at the club between 2002 and 2013.
The Scot, 56, worked wonders at the Toffees during his time on Merseyside and only left as he was named Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement at Manchester United.
Moyes endured a tough season at United, before struggling in subsequent spells at Real Sociedad, Sunderland and West Ham.
But he could be ready to return to management for the first time since his Hammers sacking - as he's the 5/4 bookies' favourites to replace Silva at Everton.
Former Everton star Arteta is second-favourite with Ladbrokes at 4/1, having spent six years at the club as a player before joining Arsenal.
Amongst the other front-runners for the Toffees job are recently-sacked former Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac and ex-Newcastle chief Rafa Benitez - both 8/1 shots.
Mark Hughes and current Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe are both also 8/1, ahead of Chris Wilder at 10/1.
