JOSE MOURINHO has selected Lille No2 Joao Sacramento as his assistant manager at Tottenham.

On Wednesday morning, the former Manchester United boss was announced as Mauricio Pochettino's successor following the Argentine's sacking.

And now Sacramento arrives along with fitness coach Carlos Lalin, analyst Giovanni Cerra and scout Ricardo Formoshino.

Leaving the club with Pochettino are assistant Jesus Perez, coach Miguel D'Agostino and goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez.

Sacramento joined Lille in January 2017 and helped boss Christophe Galtier win the Ligue 1 Manager of the Year gong in 2018/19.

That year saw the northern French side finish second and reach the Champions League.

He had previously worked as an analyst at Monaco following spells with the Welsh FA, University of South Wales and Cardiff City.

Mourinho has employed an array of assistants over the years, most recently Rui Faria at United - the coach now in charge of Al-Duhail in Qatar.

Former Brazilian defender Baltemar Brito joined him at Porto and Chelsea, where Steve Clarke also worked behind the scenes.
