Crystal Palace line up £20m January transfer swoop for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard
CRYSTAL PALACE are planning to use a £20million lure to catch Celtic’s French super- striker Odsonne Edouard.
The Eagles have cash to spend in the next window from the £50m they got from selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United.
And talented young forward Edouard, 21, is their first choice to give Roy Hodgson’s squad more attacking threat.
However, Palace will have to table a massive bid as Celtic want to keep Edouard for their title chase and a crack at Europa League glory.
The Eagles are convinced Edouard can be their missing link.
Christian Benteke cannot be relied on and former loanee Michy Batshuayi is back in the Chelsea squad.
Palace were keen on Brentford’s Olly Watkins but they are reluctant to spend the new fee wanted for him.
Celtic bought Edouard from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth up to £9million and would need to make a big profit before doing business.
