Chelsea to battle Tottenham and Leicester in £10m transfer war for prolific Metz striker Habib Diallo
CHELSEA are braced to rival both Tottenham and Leicester to the signing of Metz striker Habib Diallo, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has been in terrific form with eight goals in 13 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
And his form has not gone unnoticed by some of the Premier League big-guns who are ready to lock horns in a battle for his signature.
both Spurs and Chelsea have sent scouts to watch him in action on numerous occasions this season.
Newcastle and high-flying Foxes have also been paying close attention to his progress after firing Metz to promotion last season.
He scored 26 in 43 last campaign and it appears he is not fazed at all by the step up in league.
It is believed that a £10million offer would be enough to tempt Metz into selling but they could be tempted to hold out in the hope of a bidding war.
Leicester have history of plucking a gem from France after they landed N'Golo Kante for a bargain £5.6m fee in 2015.
Spurs' struggles this season mean they are outsiders to qualify for the Champions League and that could prove pivotal when Diallo decides which club to play for.
Chelsea could also miss out on him if they fail to get their transfer ban overturned at the hearing on November 20.
