Pep Guardiola absolutely RAGING and confronts referee Oliver as Man City are denied second handball appeal at Liverpool
PEP GUARDIOLA was left absolutely RAGING as Manchester City were denied a second penalty by VAR - and stormed on the pitch at full-time to confront referee Michael Oliver.
City had been denied a handball in the early stages at Anfield with Liverpool scoring the opener 22 seconds later.
In the latter stages of the game, with the score at 3-1, Pep and City were again denied.
Raheem Sterling drove at Trent Alexander-Arnold and fired a cross into the middle.
The ball clearly hit the defender's arms, but referee Michael Oliver waved the City appeal away.
Presumably, the Video Assistant Referee in Stockley Park reviewed the incident and decided that the incident did not deserve a spot-kick.
Pep was then asked if his "thank you so much" was meant sarcastically.
He said it was not, with the interviewer stating that he cannot speak to Mike Riley.
Pep then replied: "That's the point."
