Josh Kroenke sides with Arsenal fans as he tells Emery that Xhaka was ‘wrong’ during dressing room talk
JOSH KROENKE has sided with the Arsenal fans by telling Unai Emery the behaviour of Granit Xhaka was wrong.
Gunners director Kroenke made a beeline for the team dressing room shortly after the end of Sunday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
The son of Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke wanted to speak with Emery after seeing Xhaka tell the club's own fans to "F*** off" in an astonishing outburst as he was substituted during the game.
And boss Emery says the American made it clear that what the team captain had done was unacceptable.
The Spaniard said: "We are responsible, the club and I.
"We know our responsibility is to help everybody, and also when we are making some mistakes to recognise it.
"Sunday for example, after the match, Josh Kroenke was also in the dressing room speaking with me.
"We were speaking for 10 minutes about the situation but all the time helping each other.
"He’s supporting me, he’s supporting the players, we were talking about the circumstance with Granit Xhaka, saying that he was wrong and we need to manage that with him.

"And also I was speaking with Raul, with Edu, and also speaking with Xhaka."
Xhaka now faces an uncertain future with his role as captain in huge doubt - and even questions over whether he should ever play for the club again.
The Switzerland midfielder will miss tonight's Carabao Cup fourth round tie with Liverpool, and his manager has admitted the player is struggling to cope with the fall-out from his actions.
