ARSENAL wished Arsene Wenger a happy 70th birthday this morning - with fans quickly calling for him to "come home" and replace Unai Emery.
The Gunners took to Twitter to wish their former boss, who spent 22 years at the club, many happy returns 18 months after he left.
But many Gooners are desperate to have Wenger back after it emerged the French legend had a better record in his final 47 matches than Emery's first 47 games.
Arsenal slumped to a 1-0 loss away to Sheffield United on Monday night as they slipped to fifth in the Premier League - ten points adrift of leaders Liverpool.
The result meant Emery has won just 25 of his first 47 Premier League games - which is one fewer than Wenger's tally of 26 from his final games in charge.
Wenger also boasted more goals scored, fewer goals conceded and more clean sheets.
And when Arsenal wished the French legend a happy birthday, fans were quick to beg the Frenchman to come home.
Posting a graphic, the Gunners captioned the snap: "Happy 70th birthday, Arsene Wenger! Innovator. Invincible. Legend."
With nearly 22,000 likes at the time of writing, fans were quick to call for his return.
One wrote: "Our greatest ever coach what a man what a legacy. I miss him more than ever before now."
Another simply said: "Bring him back."
And after years of "Wenger Out", one even tweeted the hashtag: "#WengBack".
