INTER MIAMI'S proposed state-of-the-art new stadium will be something spectacular - with a cocktail bar and palm trees on the roof.

Getting Inter Miami up and running has been David Beckham's passion for the last six years as he has sought to bring top flight football back to the region - but the project hasn't been without its problems.

The former England captain's plans hit a snag when soil contamination was discovered at the Melreese golf course site - delaying the plans.

These problems haven't stopped the club releasing another video of what the £750million stadium will look like once completed though.

The amazing video shows a breathtaking looking single tier "wall" behind one of the goals.

And that's not all - it will even feature palm trees and a bar on the ROOF - meaning fans will be able to enjoy their new stadium in luxurious comfort and style.

The ultimate goal is to move to their brand new purpose-built 25,000 seater stadium at the Melreese golf course site near Miami Airport, but it won't be ready until 2022.

So ahead of their 2020 entry into MLS, they are now building TWO stadiums.

Their first home will be in Fort Lauderdale, a one-hour drive from downtown Miami.

Lockhart Stadium was once the home of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers but had fallen into a state of disrepair since they moved out fully in 2016.

It was also home of the ill-fated MLS franchise Miami Fusion between 1998 and 2001.

The stadium is being given a huge facelift ahead of what had seemed an unlikely return as an MLS stage in March next year.

The stadium will be part of an overall £800million stadium investment from Inter Miami.

After serving as the club's inaugural home for two seasons, the 18,000 seater Lockhart Stadium site will then become the club's training and academy base from 2022 onwards.

Inter Miami's sporting director Paul McDonough is having to work around the clock in order to ensure that the first of their two homes will be ready in time - but that is just part of the package.

He told the Associated Press: "This takes up a ton of time and everything keeps me up at night.

"But it's OK. We're just on an accelerated timeline. There's so much stuff going on.

"But this is expansion. It's awesome. Everything we're doing here, we're trying to do it right."
