Fuming Arsenal fans get #EmeryOut trending with calls for boss to be sacked as ‘it wasn’t this bad under Wenger’

ARSENAL fans have got #EmeryOut trending on Twitter, claiming they NEVER would have lost under Arsene Wenger like they did against Sheffield United last night.

The Gunners were cut down by Lys Mousset’s close-range strike at Bramall Lane and missed the chance to go third in the Premier League.

And fuming fans have now truly turned on boss Unai Emery, after failing to battle their way back into the game.

Fans have been venting their fury — and have even claimed the team are now in a worse situation than they were under Arsene Wenger’s embattled last few seasons in North London.

Arsenal only managed to pepper Dean Henderson's goal with pot-shots from long range in the second half, with Granit Xhaka firing a couple of strikes from distance.

Nicolas Pepe also missed a first-half sitter, fluffing a tap-in because he used his left foot instead of his right.

On Twitter, Cymoh seemed to sum up the feeling among Gunners fans.

He posted: "Arsene Wenger would never have lost like that.

"Arsene Wenger would never make Xhaka a captain.

"Arsene Wenger would never have started Willock while Ceballos is on the bench.

"Wenger would never have played such a boring game.

"Unai Emery has killed Arsenal COMPLETELY #EmeryOut."

Others pointed the finger at the Spaniard for his botched selection.

AMmAR tweeted: "Why Saka? Why Willock? Why Xhaka? Why Sokratis? Why Not Holding? Why Not Ozil? Why Not Laca? Why Not Bellerin? Why Not Tierney? Why Not Ceballos? Why Not Torreira?

"F*** Unai #EmeryOut."

Gunners fans may have a nostalgic view of Wenger, who celebrates his 70th birthday today, but there is no doubt the last few years at the Emirates were poor under the French legend.
