NOT KEANE

Keane raging at Man Utd and Liverpool stars for ‘hugging and kissing’ in the tunnel ahead of Old Trafford ‘war’

ROY KEANE slammed Manchester United and Liverpool players for “hugging and kissing” each other - moments before they went "to war".

United hosted their bitter rivals as they sit 12th, two points above the bottom three.

In contrast Liverpool lead the way winning their opening eight games, but travel to Old Trafford without a win there since 2014.

With the stakes high in Manchester this evening, ex-United captain Keane was fuming as Liverpool pair Roberto Firmino and Fabinho cuddled with Brazilian compatriots Fred and Andreas Pereira.

He said on Sky Sports: "You're going to war - hugging, kissing - don't even look at them.

"You're going to war and you're hugging each other. Chat to them after the game - or maybe not even chat to them."

Hardman Keane was famously aggressive to his rivals, in particular ex-Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira.

The two Premier League legends famously clashed in 2005 trading harsh words down the Highbury tunnel before a game - which United won 4-2.

And Keane urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s struggling side and Liverpool to have that same spite at Old Trafford this evening.

He added: “You just hope there will be some sort of reaction from United – there has to be .

“You have to turn it into a war against Liverpool today. If someone offered United a draw, they would snatch your hands off.”

Ex-United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho echoed Keane’s words, insisting the rival fans deserve to see a passionate display.

Mourinho said: “What the game means for the fans. In the dressing room you know that, you feel that and you breathe that.

“Everybody expects Liverpool to come and to win, I am not so sure. I think United have a great chance to change the feelings.
