MANCHESTER UNITED will offload Alexis Sanchez next summer and demand at least £25million for him.

The Chilean winger has had a disastrous spell at Old Trafford and was sent out on loan to Inter Milan for the season.

He has started brightly in Serie A and has already hinted at a permanent switch to Antonio Conte’s side.

And United see no way the ex-Arsenal ace can return to the club, regardless of how successful his loan is.

The Red Devils would use the majority of the transfer fee for Sanchez to pay off part of a mega severance package.

The 30-year-old is owed around £50m in wages with almost three-years left out his £505,000-a-week contract.

An Old Trafford source said: “The plan is to get some money back and use that to pay off most of his contract.

“There is a hope that he has a good spell at Inter and they or another club want to take him off our hands next summer.

“We have a fair valuation as he still has a few good years left in him based on his age and his strong reputation."

It is understood Inter Milan do not have a commitment to buy Sanchez from United regardless of how his loan spell goes.

The two clubs have a strong relationship and have split his wages, paying around £250,000-a-week each.

In the summer Romelu Lukaku joined the Italian giants for £73m on a five-year contract, and has made a solid start.
