UNAI EMERY praised his “perfect” kids as teenager Gabriel Martinelli led the Arsenal charge.
Emery fielded the second youngest team in the club’s history for a European tie and was rewarded with an emphatic 4-0 win against Standard Liege.
He said: “We have to give chances to the young players and when they take them like that it’s perfect.
“They showed tonight that they can perform and they can score at the highest level. They deserve to be with us and it’s a fantastic victory.
“Martinelli has been showing us his hunger and tonight his performance and his attitude was amazing.
“If he continues to play like that he is going to do very well. Tonight confirmed that.”
Acting Arsenal skipper Hector Bellerin added: “Gabriel keeps his head down, works really hard and he’s doing what the coach wants him to do. Everyone is really pleased for him.”
While his youngsters dazzled, the club’s top earner Mesut Ozil was once again left out of the squad by Emery.

And when quizzed about the £350k-a-week World Cup winner’s absence, Emery said: “Every time I decide the best players to help us for each match.
“I decided Mesut isn’t in the squad because I think other players deserve it more.
“The players who did not play tonight will be training tomorrow and Mesut has to keep working hard and the best possible 11 with play on Sunday against Bournemouth.
“To take six points from our first two Europa League games is really important. This is a really important competition for us and a big target for us this season.”
