ALEXIS SANCHEZ has rediscovered his “love for football again” after leaving Manchester United to go on loan at Inter Milan.
The comment could be seen as a dig at his parent club and comes after an eventful start to life under new manager Antonio Conte.
Sanchez bagged his first goal for his new club in a 3-1 win over Sampdoria at the weekend - before getting sent off for two yellow cards.
But the fired up forward told Uefa that he has found “desire” again, ahead of his return to Champions League football, with the Chilean facing his former side Barcelona tomorrow.
Sanchez said: “Coming to Inter was a bit like falling in love with football again.
“I already knew the coach and some of the players, and I believe that the club are preparing something beautiful for the future.
“If I'm not mistaken, Inter haven't won anything for seven or eight years.
“It was a bit like finding my love for football again, together with my desire to win something with this club.
“Any player would like to win the Champions League. You play in it to win it, not just to compete. I play it to win it.”
The ex-Arsenal star ended his miserable stay at United this summer, having netted just five times in 45 appearances.
Sanchez went trophyless in his two seasons at Old Trafford, but won the La Liga and Copa del Rey at the Nou Camp.
After spending three years at Barca, as well as playing against them for United, the 30-year-old knows Inter must be clinical in front of goal to beat the Spanish champions.

He added: “If we have one or two chances, we can’t waste them.
“I played there with United and we wasted three or four clear chances.
“If you want to beat Barcelona, you can’t throw any clear chances away.”
