PREMIER LEAGUE referee Mike Dean celebrates wildly as CADDY for Aussie golfer Whitney Hillier after her stunning hole-in-one on the Ladies European Golf Tour.

Dean, who will be the VAR official for Manchester United's clash with Arsenal on Monday, watched with delight as Hillier hit her amazing shot in Spain during the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open.

The Prem veteran, 51, was carrying the bags of the Australian golfer and gave her a hug after her amazing shot on the 17th on Friday.

Hillier's used a five iron to ace the hole, moving to four under par for the day - with a clearly ecstatic Dean celebrating with a fist pump.

Heading into day three today, Hillier is joint eighth on one under, after a stunning 66.

She remains five shots behind leader Laura Fuenfstueck, from Germany.

It was not the first time Dean has cropped up in an unusual location.

He was seen celebrating wildly as his team, Tranmere Rovers, reached the League Two play-off final earlier this year.

Often called the Prem's most controversial ref, Dean had a bust-up with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino last season.

The Tottenham boss was furious with the official's decision-making in the defeat at Burnley.

Arsenal even went as far as to launch a petition to stop him refereeing their matches, which raised 100,000 signatures in just a week.
