Millie Turner admits Man Utd will need ‘incredible’ performance in historic WSL clash vs Liverpool
MILLIE TURNER says Manchester United are ready to make history in their first ever Women’s Super League clash with arch-rivals Liverpool.
Casey Stoney’s side cruised to promotion into the top flight last season but this term have so far suffered 1-0 defeats to Manchester City and Arsenal.
Liverpool will be out for revenge after United beat them in last year’s League Cup.
United defender Turner said: “We’re really excited for the game no matter what level it’s played at.
"Whether it’s men or women it’s always going to be a massive game and a massive rivalry.
“And the morale in the group is still really high after defeats against two of the best teams in the country.
“I think the performances we put in, and the intensity we had, in those games we can be really proud of obviously we still have a lot to work on.
"But if we keep it up we’re going to go up against Liverpool and get the three points.
