David Beckham closing in on appointing ex-Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari as Inter Miami coach
DAVID BECKHAM is close to bagging ex-Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari as Inter Miami manager, it has been claimed.
The pair played together at the Bernabeu for two years between 2003-05 and could be reunited at the Manchester United and England hero's new club in Florida.
Solari, 42, was also in charge of Los Blancos between October 2018 and March 2019 and could make a swift return to management.
Miami-based journalist Carlitos Suarez initially reported the Argentine was in talks with the new club.
And Sam Stejskal reported discussions had taken place.
Inter Miami play their inaugural season in 2020 and it now looks like Solari is front runner for the post.
The former River Plate and Inter Milan midfielder could be a perfect fit for Beckham's new side.

Solari speaks fluent English as a result of his time at university in New Jersey, USA, in the 1990s before he started playing football professionally.
Inter Miami have also signed a number of young South American players and it is believed Solari's blend of South American and American/ English culture makes him a perfect candidate to help the new squad, which will be based in an area with a large Hispanic and Latino population.
Manchester City legend David Silva is also set to join up with Beckham's new side, according to recent reports.
