ANTHONY JOSHUA is out for revenge.
The former heavyweight champion of the world wants to put his shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr behind him - and will face the Mexican in a hugely anticipated rematch later this year.
When is Joshua vs Ruiz II?
FOLLOWING the devastating result at Madison Square Garden, Joshua was keen to organise a rematch and win back his belts.
But it's taken until August for both sides to finally get around the table and agree a date, with both fighters now having signed contracts for the second bout.
At a press conference in London to officially announce the details had been finalised, Hearn said: "I read several reports yesterday, both fighters have signed for this rematch fight.
“Both fighters have signed for the rematch and all governing bodies have confirmed the dates for this.”
The pair will go toe-to-toe on Saturday December 7, 2019.
As yet, a start time for the contest has not been set.
Where will they fight?
THE defeat in New York was the first time that AJ had fought away from British soil.
And he will so again after Saudi Arabian chiefs negotiated a whopping £83million deal to stage the bout in the country.
Saudi Arabia has hosted two major boxing shows in the last year involving high-profile British fighters.
Eddie Hearn promoted super-middleweight Callum Smith beat George Groves in the World Boxing Super Series final in September which was hosted in Jeddah.
Whilst Amir Khan trounced Australian Billy Dib at the King Abdullah Sports City arena, with the former world champion making £7m for the four round win.
