Amir Khan offers to sort Tyson Fury megabucks Saudi Arabia bout after banking £7m for Billy Dib win

AMIR KHAN claims he can help arrange a megabucks fight for Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.

The Bolton ace says he has already been a key player in securing the Gypsy King’s money-spinning broadcast deal with ESPN.

And now Khan believes he can use his influence in the desert kingdom to land Fury another big earner.

Welterweight Khan, who banked £7million for beating Billy Dib in the King Abdullah Sports City Arena on July 12, said: "I think they will definitely get a heavyweight star like Tyson out in Saudi soon.

"I actually helped Tyson do his ESPN deal with promoter Bob Arum.

"I made a few calls. I didn’t take a cut, we are both boxers so I was just happy to help. It would have been nice, though!

"I am promoting the sport in Saudi and have the WBC supporting me, so why not help make it happen?"

Fury’s ESPN deal is claimed to be worth a staggering £80m.

And Prince Mishaal bin Saud Al Saud confirmed Fury, 30, is a target for the oil-rich nation, as is eight-weight legend and WBA welterweight king Manny Pacquiao.

JOKES ASIDE

Khan, 32, announced moments after beating Dib that he was fighting 40-year-old Pacman on November 8 - only for the Filipino to KO the idea.

An embarrassed Khan said: "Someone from my team told me it was signed and that I could announce it.

"Manny has since denied it so I am flying to Dubai to see my business partners next week to see what’s been going on, because I feel I have been made to look a bit silly.

"I should have kept quite and not trusted anyone because it makes me look stupid and I don’t want people to think I am a joke."

Khan will still box in Riyadh on November 8 and long-time domestic rival Kell Brook is a possible opponent.

The Sheffield man, 33, is back training with Dominic Ingle but looked well over his 147lb limit in a recent photo.

Khan said: "I heard Kell looks a bit heavy. It is good he is training and I want that fight to happen because it could make us both a lot of money.

"But, honestly, I believe he should retire because he is going to do himself harm.

"Living the lifestyle that he lives and seeing how big he gets between fights shows this sport is not for him any more.

"The way things are going for him, he is not going to be able to enjoy all the things he achieved.

";He says he wants a big fight, but I fear he could get really hurt."

Amir Khan was speaking at The Great Financial Trading Conference with online financial trading broker ThinkMarkets.
