Tyson Fury given green light to face drugs cheat Jarrell Miller by Frank Warren

FRANK WARREN has no problem handing drugs cheat Jarrell Miller a shot at Tyson Fury - if boxing’s sanctioning bodies don’t have the balls to ban him.

The Gypsy King needs a tall slugger to fight this Autumn, to imitate 2020 target and WBC king Deontay Wilder, with a high-profile American the preferred opponent to boost US interest.

After wowing Las Vegas with his two-round demolition of Tom Schwarz on June 15, Fury is set to meet fans on the East Coast of the country, with New York the most likely host.

And 6ft 4in Brooklyn loudmouth Miller fits the bill, after his infamy rocketed for failing two drug tests, for three banned substances, before his axed June 1 showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Miller was only handed a six-month ban, similar to the pathetic punishment handed out to Mexican golden boy Canelo last year, leaving him free to redeem himself against the 30-year-old Brit.

Warren said: “I make it very clear that I’m anti drugs. But if they’re giving out six month bans, like they did for Miller and Canelo, how is that going to make any impact on any youngsters who are going to take stuff?

“If you are going to put guys out of the sport then you got to really, really take drastic action.

“I don’t police the sport so if someone has a licence then I will use their services. I’m not there to police it, that is what we pay governing bodies for.

“If he’s licenced then he is licenced. Should he be licenced? That’s another story. If you want to be taken seriously as a governing body then police the sport properly.”

Warren’s next big show is a heavy duty affair on July 13 as undefeated prospects Nathan Gorman, 23, and Daniel Dubois clash for the British heavyweight title.

Gorman is the silky-skilled cousin of Fury, earning comparisons with Andy Ruiz Jr who stunned the world by dethroning Anthony Joshua in sensational fashion and Miller's absense.

While Dynamite Dubois is the Adonis-like 21-year-old who KO’ed AJ in sparring three years ago.

And hall-of-fame promoter Warren insists either prospect could steam through AJ after Ruiz Jr robbed him of his senses and cloak of invincibility.

He said: “They are two exceptional young talents. They both have the desire that they will move on and do great things.

“Either could beat Joshua. We see how he struggles with fast hands on small men – that is Gorman – and Dubois has already knocked him out in sparring, with big gloves on, at 18 years of age.”
