Boxing fans convinced Joshua’s eyes were ‘all over the show’ before Ruiz Jr loss and prove ‘something was not right’ with Brit

FOOTAGE has emerged of Anthony Joshua looking visibly uncomfortable before his shock upset defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr - with fans speculating that there was something wrong with him.
The Brit superstar was stunned on Saturday night as his US debut went up in smoke at the hands of 19st Ruiz, who came in as a weighty 25/1 underdog.
Joshua was on his hands and knees four times before being stopped in round seven and conspiracies have come thick and fast to suggest why AJ was so convincingly beaten.
Twitter user Chris McCarthy has shared a video focusing on Joshua as Michael Buffer introduced the champion ahead of his unified title defence.
Joshua looked in discomfort as his eyes wandered and he bit down on his gum shield before staring at the ground.
The video was captioned: “Joshua’s eyes all over the show in the intro. Visibly something clearly not right with him.”
And boxing fans agreed, suggesting something was "not right" with the 2012 Olympic gold medallist.
One said: "He is even resting on the rings before the fight something is surely not right."
Another said: "He's not himself."
One commented: "Definitely not right."
One round before Ruiz score the stunning stoppage win, Joshua was heard telling trainer Rob McCracken “Why am I feeling like this?”
Rumours surfaced that Joshua was dropped in sparring, suffered a panic attack before the fight and came into his US debut with illness.
AJ, however, refutes all these suggestions, telling fans on his YouTube channel the “performance” and “game plan” was to blame for the historic loss.
Joshua said: "I had no panic attack, I'm not that type of person. I have to take my loss like a man, I'm not blaming any man or any thing.
"I went in there to perform and my performance didn't go to plan, my game plan didn't go to plan. So I have to readjust, I have to correct what went wrong and get the job done in the rematch.
"On Saturday I took a loss and I have to take it like a man. Never let success get to your head, and never let your failures get to your heart.
"It's tough, when you lose sometimes it feels like it rips away a part of you, but I'm not going to change anything, I'm still ambitious and I'm still going to walk with my head held high like a champion."
Promoter Eddie Hearn announced a rematch is set to land in November or December.
