While also in New York Terence Crawford beat Amir Khan last month - and the Brit's trainer revealed the 32-year-old has to 'commit' more to the sport while on the sidelines.

Here is SunSport's boxing round up.

WILDER TALKS WITH AJ & FURY

WILDER’S manager is in talks with both Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Luis Ortiz regarding blockbuster heavyweight showdowns.

Shelly Finkel told SunSport: “That is something we are working on now, hopefully by next week it will be resolved.

“I had dinner the other night with John Skipper, we discussed the Joshua fight and I also have been in touch with Top Rank.

“We’re working on that, and those three fighters, Deontay will be fighting all of them in a succession which we will hopefully work out in the next couple of weeks.”

“In the next two weeks everything will be done, it will be said publicly what we’re doing and I believe the UK fans will also be happy.”

BUATSI NEXT OPPONENT

JOSHUA BUATSI has announced he will fight Marco Antonio Periban at Madison Square Garden on Saturday June 1.

The rising Brit star will face the former James DeGale and Badou Jack opponent on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's unified title fight against Andy Ruiz Jr.

Buatsi said:“I’m excited to be in the United states for the first time.

“There is so much history here with this venue, the greats have fought here and to be able to say I've boxed at Maddison Square Garden this early in my career is an honour. I’ve had a great camp in Miami and I can’t wait to get started and put on a fantastic performance for all the fans.”

AJ SNUBS WHYTE

JOSHUA insists Wilder is the only man he wants to fight - snubbing Brit rival Dillian Whyte.

And WBA, IBF and WBO  champ Joshua has told Dillian Whyte he missed his shot as he targets the WBC- strap.

AJ, 29, told Sky Sports: "I'm not looking at Dillian anymore, I'm looking at Wilder, because he's got the belt.

"Dillian Whyte had his opportunity to fight me April 13. Dillian had a chance to fight for the titles, he felt it was a low-ball offer, he wants to build his value and compete against Rivas."

KHAN NEEDS TO 'COMMIT'

AMIR KHAN “never has practice in between fights” revealed his trainer Virgil Hunter, who cast doubt over the Bolton hero’s commitment out of camp.

One month on from the Crawford loss, and after mass calls for Khan to end his glittering 14-year career, Hunter told BBC Sport his man can continue in ring - but has to “commit” to training while out of camp.

Hunter said: "I would like to see him commit to many training camps in between fights and to work on his weaknesses before he makes that final decision to really see if his skills are gone, or if he is just letting them lay in a pile and deteriorate slowly.

"He never has practice in between fights. He trains hard for 10 weeks but it's not enough."

HEARN'S 'HARD ON'

EDDIE HEARN joked he got a “f****** hard on” after hearing boxing legend George Foreman claim Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder is “the biggest heavyweight fight of all time”.

Foreman recently told TMZ Sports an undisputed showdown with Joshua and Wilder would eclipse any heavyweight battle of the past - even between himself, Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.

Hearn reacted by telling IFL TV: “George Foreman actually said this is the biggest heavyweight fight of all time - in terms of the revenue it will produce, I think he is right.

“But when you start hearing people like that say things like that, that gives me a f**king hard-on."
