Tyson Fury again insists he gave all £7m Wilder money to charity

TYSON FURY has again insisted he gave his £7million Deontay Wilder earnings to charity.
The Gypsy King travelled to Los Angeles to challenge the WBC heavyweight champion on December 1 and was rocked by the number of homeless people downtown where his camp was based.
On a pre-fight media day at the LA Fire Department, he claimed he would be giving his hard-earned cash to UK charities to build homes for alcohol and drug addicts in the UK.
Speaking in Cardiff at an Evening With Tyson Fury show, where auction items sold for hundreds of pounds, a fan in the Q&A section asked if he had fulfilled his promise and the modest giant confirmed his good deed.
Fury said: “I did give away my last purse but I don’t do charity work for a pat on the back.
“I do it to help people but I do not want praise for it, I don’t want to be called a do gooder.”
Fury’s purse for the fight was around £2.5m but, once the pay-per-view money was collected across the world, he was thought to have banked closer to £7m.
Since battling mental health issues and drug abuse, the former unified boss has championed charitible causes.
In the build-up to his controversial Staples Center draw, Fury insisted Wilder and his team had grossly underestimated him.
He said: “They think I’ve just come here to pick up a few quid.
“But I couldn’t care less about the money. I don’t have much use for it.
“I’m planning to give it all away to the poor and for building houses for the homeless.
I will probably wind up like all the other boxers down the years, skint.”
