Jarrell Miller labels Anthony Joshua a ‘fake’ and ‘cheap champion’ who is afraid to fight the best
The American exclusively told SunSport he believes AJ is deliberately avoiding the toughest fights - while he denied rumours he will be next to fight the unified heavyweight champion
As Miller exchanged words with Joshua and sized up the Brit - it looked as though the American was attempting to make some noise and build momentum for a crack at AJ.
However, speaking to exclusively SunSport, Miller insisted the confrontation with the current WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight king was no gimmick.
The Brooklyn man revealed he has a personal dislike for Joshua, labelling the 29-year-old a “fake” who is “afraid to fight the best”.
Miller said: “I don’t like AJ, I just don’t like him, I don’t like what he stands for - he puts this humble c**p on, but behind closed doors he’s just a p***k.
“He’s superduper fake, there’s a lot of things about AJ that’s going to come to light - but when we sign the contract I’m going to poke fun at him, bully him and speak, that’s who I am.
These accusations come as no surprise to Miller, 30, as he labelled Joshua a "cheap champion", while the New Yorker believes the Brit is deliberately sending unacceptable offers to his rivals.
Miller said: “AJ is a very cheap champion - he wants to make £20million, but he doesn’t want to spend on the opponent or next contender.
“You have to pay, every fighter has worked many years to get to the level they’re at, nobody is going to sit there and let you make the lion's share all the time."
Big Baby believes Whyte WILL be the man to fight Joshua next - although the American agreed the Brixton banger was right to decline the offer he was initially sent.
Miller added: “I think it will be Dillian Whyte next - but they were basically offering Dillian Whyte £3m and he made around £2.5m for the Dereck Chisora fight.
“AJ only wants to offer some chump change money, that’s why Dillian turned it down - and I don’t blame him either.
“You’ve got to pay, plain and simple.”
While Hearn seemingly made Wilder and Fury his two main targets for Joshua’s next fight, it was perceived that Whyte or Miller would be the most likely next opponents.
However, Miller revealed he has never been offered a deal to fight Joshua, labelling the suggestions ‘just speculation’ as the American predicted he will meet AJ in September.
Miller added: “No offers have been made for a fight against AJ as of yet, it’s just talk.
“And then he can come to America, but I ain’t playing fair and I’m playing for cheap. Maybe in September, I think that’s the closest I can see us fighting right now.
“I never back down from nobody, and I ain’t afraid of nobody - especially not a Calvin Klein wearing G-string pants like AJ.
“We’re going to prepare for everything and we’re open to all options.”
