FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S eagerly anticipated fight with Tenshin Nasukawa has been delayed by an 90 minutes.. as the American got held up in his hotel due to a "flooded lobby".
Money, 41, failed to arrive on time for his exhibition clash with the kickboxer but now but appears to be set for a dramatic, late entrance.
There were 20 fights scheduled to take place prior to Mayweather's, but he still couldn't make it on time forcing staff into an hour-long intermission.
CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, tweeted confirmation of the delay and blaming chaotic scenes at the boxer's hotel.
He wrote: "Headed to the arena, hotel lobby flooded, tv cameras everywhere, fans chanting, omg this s*** is lit!!!!!!"
Despite the delay, Mayweather found time to urge his fans to head to his strip club in Nevada to watch the fight.
There had been doubts as to whether the fight would take place after a series of twists and turns in the build up to today's event.
The exact ring walk time for the Mayweather bout was never confirmed, but was expected to be around 10am UK time.
However, the 20-strong undercard already overrun having seen some incredible action - such as MMA fighter Yusuke Yachi suffering a disgusting eye injury.
The Japanese fighter, 28, suffered the sickening facial injury during his second-round technical knockout at the hands of Johnny Case and was stopped by doctors.
As well as a stream of blood pouring down his face, Yachi's eye swelled up to dangerous levels, completely hindering his vision.
Mayweather's fight itself will be a boxing match - three rounds with no kicking or MMA moves permitted.
The result will not affect his 50-0 record should he win or lose, given the exhibition nature of the fight.
