Is Floyd Mayweather unbeaten and will he lose record if Tenshin Nasukawa beats him?
FLOYD MAYWEATHER makes his return to the ring after over a year away from boxing.
'Money' was last in action in his controversial bout with Conor McGregor - and this time he faces Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
Is Floyd Mayweather unbeaten?
OVER an incredible career, Mayweather has secured world titles at five different weights and is regarded as the finest defensive boxer of all time.
He retired from the ring following his 2017 victory over MMA star Conor McGregor, despite objections from some boxing fans that the bout shouldn't count on his pro record.
The win took his career record to a perfect 50-0, with 27 of those wins by way of knockout.
Mayweather is famed for his fast hands and incredible reflexes, which helped him duck, weave and counter his way to that magic 50-win barrier.
Just twice in his career have Money's hands hit the canvas and he's never been floored by anybody.
In 2001, during a routine win over Carlos Hernandez, Mayweather slumped to his knees complaining of a hand injury and his glove rested against the floor.
And five years later against Zab Judah, a similar incident happened after Mayweather stumbled and grabbed the canvas, but it was ruled a slip by officials and his proud record remains intact to this day.
Will he lose his record if he loses to Nasukawa?
MAYWEATHER faces the kickboxing sensation Nasukawa on New Year's Eve in Japan.
The bout is an exhibition, fought over three rounds and without judges.
As a result, it will not impact on the pro records of either fighter - so even if Money loses within the distance, he won't lose his 50-0 tag.
If the bout ends without a KO in the three rounds, no winner is declared as there is no judge to decide.
