Britian’s worst boxer retires to save himself as 12-year career went downhill after he won the first of his 55 fights

'Rockin' Robin Deakin had a successful amateur carer but was so bad the BBBC took his licence away to protect him

BRITIAN'S worst boxer is retiring after 12 years as a professional - because he can't take any more punishment.

'Rockin' Robin Deakin, 31, won just two of his 55 pro fights, including his debut.

But he is worried he will get seriously hurt and is quitting the ring so he can have a family.

Lightweight Deakin says having clubbed feet has never affected his performances.

But he has quit after failing to land a fight with Conor Benn, who was criticised for mocking Deakin's perceived disability.

report Deakin as saying: "I'm announcing my retirement after not being successful and losing brain cells.

"I can't take no more. I have boxed the best in Britain and boxed world title challengers and a world champ in a career that ain't been the best.

"I'm proud to say at least I did something people said I couldn't."

The British Boxing Board of Control, worried about Deakin's health, took away his licence.

And Deakin admitted: "Boxing is a safe sport but when you do it like me, and not really training, you will get hurt.

"I probably would have ended up getting hurt.
