JOSEPH PARKER claims he has reached an agreement with Anthony Joshua for a unification showdown in 2018.

And the Kiwi has revealed exactly how he plans to topple IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight champion AJ.

Parker has said that he wants 40 per cent of the purse for a scrap with Watford brawler AJ.

The 25-year-old held a bizarre press conference in which he offered clash for footage of AJ being floored.

The Brit later accused him of trying to "demonise" his reputation and of showing "no respect".

Parker now says that they are close to drawing up contracts, after AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn claimed that an agreement is close.

He told T2T Boxing: "The fight with Joshua is very close. We've had a bit of a pause as we find middle ground where both teams are happy.

“But I think we've come to a conclusion - we're just going to tidy things up, lock it in and get the fight going.

"We want to lock something in before Christmas, so we can all have a holiday and enjoy it and then hit camp."

Parker also revealed how he plans to get the better of AJ the two fighters - unbeaten in pro fights - go head to head.

He believes his angles and speed will be too much for the more powerful Joshua.

Parker explained: "Coming into the fight I will be a lot lighter. I think angles — angles and speed.

"Joshua is a big guy with a lot of power who comes forward and chase you down.

"But if I give him angles and movement it will give him a bit of trouble so that's what I'm looking to do."
