Tyson Fury nears boxing return after two years out as a date is set for doping hearing
British Boxing Board of Control general secretary Robert Smith has revealed Fury's hearing will be in December this year
TYSON FURY has edged ever-closer to a return to boxing after two years out with a date now set for his doping hearing.
British Boxing Board of Control general secretary Robert Smith has revealed Fury's hearing will be next month.
Fury has been out of the ring since winning the world heavyweight titles in 2015 against Wladimir Klitschko.
But now Smith has suggested the "Gypsy King" could be back in the ring sooner rather than later.
He revealed to : "December [for the hearing], that's true.
"The reason why this has taken so long, so I have been led to believe, is because Mr Fury's legal team could not agree a date for the recommencement of the hearing.
"They obviously now have, and the hearing will recommence."
A raft of personal issues and UK Anti-Doping failing to hear his case have seen Fury endure a long break from the sport.
