David Haye vs Tony Bellew rematch: The Hayemaker and Bomber will fight again at the O2 Arena on Sunday 17 December
The Bermondsey banger insists the Bomber 'will not win the lottery twice' against him as the Scouser vows to end the 36-year-old former world champion's career when they come face-to-face again
IT'S ON! David Haye will get his chance of revenge when he fights Tony Bellew on Sunday December 17.
The London venue is fully booked for Saturday nights — leaving the sabbath as the only option for the Brit brawlers.
The pair went head-to-head in March earlier this year when Haye suffered a shock defeat.
The ex-world champ snapped his Achilles’ tendon in the sixth round but managed to continue before Bellew triumphed with a knockout in the 11th.
Despite losing the bout last time around, Haye still took home £4.2million from the fight, while Bellew made £2.8m.
And the money on offer for them both to cross paths again was better than they were getting offered elsewhere.
Bellew, speaking to Sky Sports, has vowed to overcome the Bermondsey banger once again and prove his first victory was no fluke.
He said: "I will have the exact same attitude I had going into the first fight.
“Win at all costs. I will be victorious on December 17 and I will end David Haye's career. Another loss to me closes the curtain on the Hayemaker.
"This isn't personal any more, it's strictly business. This is just another fight. My world has been put into perspective in the last four weeks, it's been the toughest four weeks of my family's lives and I will dedicate my victory on December 17 to my late brother-in-law.
"He [Haye] knows how the first fight went. After five rounds, I had him 3-2 up - my plan was never to start strong, as David is a front-runner. He's dangerous early but he tires quickly and he doesn't get stronger down the stretch.
“He somehow won the lottery in our first fight, but believe me, he won't win the lottery twice.
"I've been training every day for over six months. I already feel fitter, stronger and more athletic than I did for our first showdown. On December 17, I will relish the opportunity to re-write the ending of the Haye-Bellew story."
