Conor McGregor beating Floyd Mayweather odds tumble as UFC star embarks on state-of-the-art training camp
McGregor using high-tech UFC Performance Institute as he gears up for clash with Mayweather next month
CONOR McGREGOR'S odds to beat Floyd Mayweather have been tumbling as he switches to the the most technically advanced training camp money can buy.
McGregor has begun preparing in earnest for his billion dollar clash with Mayweather next month, and is getting over every gruelling session by immersing himself in a -278 degree cryotherapy chamber.
The Irish star has checked into the brand new UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas ahead of a six week programme tailored to getting him in peak condition for fight night on August 26.
And there appears to be a growing feeling among punters that the MMA champ can shock the world by becoming the first person to beat boxing legend Mayweather.
When the fight was announced McGregor was a huge 9-1 underdog in both the UK and America.
But since then, there has been a steady stream of money being lumped on the chance of the 29-year-old claiming a victory in the most lucrative fight ever staged.
McGregor is now priced at 4-1 on both sides of the Atlantic as UFC fans back their man.
Even so, Mayweather is still the huge favourite to win - with the best price available for him to extend his winning streak to 50 wins at 1-6.
The two fighters broke off from training last week to embark on a whistle-stop world tour promoting the Vegas fight.
But now the serious work in camp has started, with McGregor using the technically advanced training facility in the Nevada desert to prepare.
The UFC Performance Institute only opened last month, providing fighters with one of the most technically advanced training facilities in the world.
It claims to combine the most up to date training methods with scientific knowledge aimed at tuning the body to peak physical and mental performance.
McGregor is now using the facility as a base for his strength work and to brush up on his boxing skills as he looks to improve enough to be able to give Mayweather a fight.
And at the end of each session he spends time in a special ice cryo-chamber which is set at -278C, aimed at speeding up recovery time for his aching limbs.
