Khan was a pundit on Sky Sports Box Office’s coverage of the fight and thinks him and Brook could get it on in a pay-per-view blockbuster after years of stalled negotiations.

“I would 100 per cent like to fight him,” Khan said after Brook’s defeat.

“A fight between me and Kell Brook is a pay-per-view fight and maybe next summer after a tune up fight we could be back here.”

He tweeted: “I got beat in the war I had with Canelo, Brook showed no respect! but I wish him and his family all best and hope he has no serious injury.”
