Dana White gives Conor McGregor deadline of Sunday night to reach deal for mega-money bout with five-weight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jnr
UFC chief has been growing increasingly impatient at how long talks have been taking, as he threatens to walk away
DANA WHITE has given Conor McGregor a deadline of Sunday night to reach his side of the deal for the mega-money bout with five-weight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jnr.
White was growing impatient with the time he has been spending on the proposed fight and put the deadline in place, threatening to walk away if a deal on McGregor's side couldn't be set.
Now the UFC president will go to Team Mayweather to lock down the deal.

White told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto: "We’re right there to get this deal done.
"I would like to get it done with Sunday and negotiate with Team Mayweather and if that deal gets done we’ll get it done.
"If not, we’ll move on. I think we’re there. Conor and I have agreed on a deal.
"But then you get a bunch of lawyers involved and things get stupid."
White added he plans to sit down with team Mayweather on Monday, saying: "Hopefully Monday I'm going to go and sit down with Team Mayweather.
"I still need to go negotiate with them. There's no guarantee that we're going to come to a deal."
It's been widely reported that Floyd Mayweather will get £77million and McGregor will take £58m for their mega-bout.
The fight was due to take place on September 16 but that date has now gone to the Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin vs Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez middleweight clash.
On missing the date, White said: "That was the date we were shooting for.
"We should have moved faster in the negotiations."
The fight was held up because Conor McGregor was waiting on the birth of his first child.
However, White revealed: "[That] has nothing to do with Mayweather's side. This is on our side."
