SUGAR RAY LEONARD is tipping Floyd Mayweather to knock out Conor McGregor in round one of boxing's richest ever fight.

The all-time great thinks unbeaten five-weight world champion Mayweather, 40, WILL return the to ring for a multi-million-pound one-off against the Irish UFC hero.

And Leonard expects the fight to last little longer than the time it took him to predict the outcome.

Asked how McGregor would fare against Mayweather, 60-year-old Leonard replied: "Boxing? One round."

Both fighters have called each other out.

But months of talks over the cross-sport bout have yet to produce a date.

And Mayweather has urged mixed martial arts star McGregor, 28, to help set up the showdown quickly - or see his chance of a life-changing pay-day disappear forever.
