Who is Jorge Linares?
Jorge Luis Linares Palencia is a Venezuelen lightweight boxer known as El Nino de Oro – or ‘Golden Boy’.
The 32-year-old fighter has also competed at super bantamweight, featherweight and super-featherweight levels.
What has Jorge Linares won?
Linares kicked-off his amateur career with a stunning 89-5 record, before following that up with an equally impressing pro record.
The Venezuelan has won 42 of his 45 fights – 27 of which have come by the way of KO – losing just three times.
Linares has won a host of titles during his career, including the WBC lightweight title in 2014, following success through all the weight categories.
He then won the WBA and The Ring lightweight titles – which he will defend Luke Campbell in the early hours of Sunday, September 24..
